Paulo Dybala talked about how Juventus measure up against football giants such as Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. The forward believes his team has what it takes to play on the “same level” as their European rivals.
Dybala has made the most of his transfer to Juventus in 2015. He has already won the Serie A title, the Cup and Supercoppa Italiana. He has scored 36 times in 76 appearances for Juventus. His good form has had him earn a call up for Argentina’s national team. And teams like Real and Barcelona are rumored to be scouting the player.
Juventus are set to play Porto in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals. The first leg ended with a 2-0 victory for the Italian side. Dybala says Juventus should be competing for the highest honors in European football.
“Since the Champions League started we’ve been at the same level as Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich,” he said ahead of the game on Tuesday.
“If we get through, we’ll also be on the same level now. We’re also top of the league and we won the first match of the Coppa Italia [semi-final against Napoli]. In some ways, we’re doing better than them.”

The forward has only scored once in the current Champions League season. He is anxious to add to his tally and help his team progress to the next stage.
“It would be crazy to win the Champions League at my age because I only joined Juventus two years ago,” Dybala said. “Some of my team-mates have already won the trophy and I’d like to be decisive in a Champions League game.”
The striker faces against legendary keeper Iker Casillas. The former three-time winner of the Champions League joined Porto in 2015. Previously he had only played for current UCL holders Real Madrid.
“With regard to Casillas, he’s an historic goalkeeper for all he has achieved and for all he has won with Real Madrid and the Spanish national team. Despite his age, he continues to be a big player for Porto. Obviously, I’d like to score a goal. It’s my job as a forward to score goals. It would be special to score past a goalkeeper like him,” Dybala commented.
