Jurgen Klopp is happy with the impending return of Adam Lallana. The midfielder is said to be available to play soon enough. Klopp has called this the “best news” the team could receive.
Liverpool is fighting in the final weeks of the Premier League for a top four finish. In a season that varied in terms of performances, Lallana has proved to be one of Liverpool’s most important players. The midfielder was responsible for seven goals and seven assists. He also started in many of the team’s games.
Lallana sustained an injury to his hip while playing for England. The injury proved serious enough to keep him off the pitch for an entire month. However, he should be available for selection for the Monday game against Watford.
“I saw his last four rehab sessions and he looked really good,” Klopp says. “In the end, it’s a difference from that to first-team training but it’s wonderful to have him back. In our situation, to have a player back from injury, it’s great.”
“You have to think about whether he could start and whether he is ready for 45 minutes or more. If not then he cannot start because we cannot make the first change in the first half. We’ll see how he is but it’s the best news we could get.”

Another important player out through injury in Liverpool’s last game against Crystal Palace was striker Daniel Sturridge. Klopp commented on the posibility of the player being available for Monday’s game.
“We have to see,” Klopp commented. “He played twice and then had a little setback. Now he is back in training. I have to see how they look on the pitch but it’s good to have them back.”
Liverpool are currently in third place. The team is tied on points with Manchester City, who is playing today, away to Middlesbrough. With a lot of competition for the top four positions, Liverpool will try to make the best of their remaining games.
