Brasileirão Fantasy Football Neymar

By Eduard Bănulescu

Brasileirão fantasy is going to be good in 2025! That much is a promise, and one that I can confidently make knowing the caliber of the stars who will be playing in the Campeonato this season.

Campeonato Brasileiro Série A will see legendary teams like Palmeiras, Corinthians, Santos or Flamengo battling it out for the top prize, to be Campeão Brasileiro. And it’ll be up to stars like Neymar Jr., Gabriel Barbosa, or Oscar to thrill the fans.

Which ones of these players will you need on the Brasileirão fantasy football? Here are the top 10 stars that you need to consider for your team.

Remember that all of these players are available in the free game of FootballCoin where you can win real prizes daily.

Top 10 Stars in Brasileirão Fantasy Football

10. Nenê (Juventude)

Nenê is an absolute legend, and of the greatest players still active in his 40s. The former Paris-Saint Germain midfielder is still an integral part of Juventude’s setup as the team looks to avoid relegation.

Can you still depend on Nenê for your fantasy football team? Absolutely!

9. Danilo (Flamengo)

Like many of the players on this list, Danilo is returning to Brazil as something of a conquering hero. Having played for the likes of FC Porto, Real Madrid, Manchester City, or Juventus. The experienced center-back has signed a two-year contract for Flamengo, who’ll be looking to become, once again, Campeão Brasileiro.

8. Gabriel Barbosa

Gabriel Barbosa isn’t nicknamed Gabigol for nothing. Unlike most players on this list, Barbosa has opted to spend most of his career, save for a short spell at Inter Milano, practicing his football in his home country.

At 28, Barbosa has already scored more than 100 goals in the Campeonato. His transfer to Cruzeiro is a new start, and plenty of neutral fans are excited by what the striker can achieve.

Barbosa is an obvious pick for your fantasy football team.

7. Lucas Moura (Sao Paolo)

Tottenham fans will never forget Lucas Moura’s skill that brought Spurs all the way to a Champions League final. Since 2023, however, Moura has returned to his beloved São Paulo. Moura is still one of the most creative midfielders in the league.

While he is a pricier addition to your squad, it’s well worth considering picking him.

6. Thiago Silva (Fluminense)

Thiago Silva isn’t just one of the best Brazilian defenders of his generation. He’s also one of the great leaders in world football. Yes, Silva turns 41 in September, but little seems to be slowing him down just yet.

Silva is the captain of a Fluminense that’s made a good of transfer moves recently and who’ll hope to improve on the 13th place finish of last season.

Silva is still a good Brasileirão fantasy pick despite age and price on the FootballCoin marketplace.

5.  Alex Sandro (CR Flamengo)

Alex Sandro is another player who has thoroughly impressed in European football, and who still has the ambition and skill to perform at a very high level.

He joined Flamengo on a free deal in 2024. The team finished third in the league last season, but will be eyeing the top prize this time. Alex Sandro, if free from injuries, can be one of the team’s biggest assets.

4. David Luiz (Fortaleza)

Fortaleza was the biggest surprise of the 2024 season. A highly consistent campaign helped the Northern team finish fourth in the league.

That was enough to attract the big-name singing of former Chelsea and PSG defender, David Luiz. Clearly, Luiz still feels he has a thing or two to prove. I agree, and advise you to scout him closely.

3. Philippe Coutinho (Vasco da Gama)

It’s public knowledge that Philippe Coutinho performs his best football when he’s in an environment where affection is openly shown to him. That’s likely the reason for the player’s return in Brazil, to Vasco da Gama.

The agile dribbler had a good 2024 back in Brazil. His transfer has now been extended. And many observers think that this is where the player can bring his best. I agree.

2. Oscar (Sao Paolo)

It’ll be a delight to see Oscar return to the high-paced, skill-favoring world of Brazilian football. The highly talented midfielder joined Shanghai Port from Chelsea nearly eight years ago.

Oscar’s return to Sao Paolo can do a few things. It can clear up any issues about his legacy, and thrill fans. And it can improve the score of your Brasileirão fantasy in FootballCoin.

Brasileirão Fantasy Football Neymar

1. Neymar Jr. (FC Santos)

Neymar is still one of the biggest stars in world football. Injuries and contractual issues have plagued his last seasons. But early displays within the FC Santos team in 2025 have revealed what most of us already knew—Neymar Jr. can still delight fans looking for old-school, highly technical football.

His return to Brazil is exciting. Let’s hope he remains injury free. And if that’ll be the case, you’ll find it hard not to pick Neymar for your Brasileirão fantasy draft.
