Fantasy Brasileiro Campeonato football is working really hard right now to become your favorite source for fantasy football contests in 2025. It has skillful players, legendary teams, and passionate supporters.
As it turns out, it also has a lot of surprises in store.
I predicted who I thought would be the top picks in Brasileiro cartola for Matchday 3. Let’s see how well I did, how well your cartola team performed and whether you should scout these players for the reason of the season.
Don’t forget that all of the Brasileiro Série A are available in FootballCoin. You are the manager!
Top Cards in Matachday 3 of Brasileiro Série A
Pablo Vegetti (Vasco da Gama) – 28.95 points
To be fair, Sport Recife didn’t pose much of a challenge. Besides, Vasco da Gama was eager to put last week’s disappointing defeat against Corinthians behind him.
Pablo Vegetti scored two goals early in the game. It put the result beyond much doubt. Vegetti also made teammates Philippe Coutinho and Paulo Henrique look good. All of them are fine players.
But we still don’t know for sure how well Vasco da Gama can fare against tougher opposition.
Joaquin Piquerez (Palmeiras) – 28.5 points
Yes, I expected more Corinthians. But the sleeping giants finally awoke on Matchday 3. Palmeiras was in superb form and blew away its rivals in this derby game.
Nobody was more impressive in this clear victory than Joaquin Piquerez. He scored the first goal through a long-range effort, and his skillful, top-speed runs down the left flank made it impossible for Corinthians players to keep up.
Yes, Palmeiras is back to being the favourite to win the Brasileiro Serie A 2025, in my book.
Samuel Xavier (Fluminense) – 28.5 points
Another of Brazil’s most legendary sides, Fluminense, earned some breathing room after defeating the much-hyped FC Santos.
Yes, it was just one goal that decided it. And that in itself was scored in the dying seconds by Samuel Xavier, Fluminense’s right-back.
Still, plenty of work had gone into the performance before that, and the overall result was warranted.
Giorgian de Arrascaeta (Flamengo) – 28.25 points
Flamengo took to the race for the Serie A 2025 title like a bullet from a gun. And fantasy football Brasileiro results reflect that.
Giorgian de Arrascaeta scored a brace through individual brilliance. This secured an important away victory against Gremio.
De Arrascaeta, at 30 years old, remains a player who will attempt the impossible. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn’t. This season, everything seems to be going his way.
Augustin Rossi (Flamengo) – 28.5 points
Augustin Rossi also contributed massively to the aforementioned victory. The goalkeeper was particularly impressive at defending against Gremio’s set-piece routines.
With one of the best attacking midfielders and one of the best goalkeepers in its squad, why wouldn’t Flamengo manage to go all the way this season?
