Looking for Lionel Messi to create something truly magical? We are all aware of what he is capable of. But, what above the fantasy football players punching well above their weight in 2019?
Here are the sleepers. These are players few fantasy managers would have considered magnificent, who, nonetheless, have proven excellent throughout the year.

One of the greatest fantasy football sleepers of 2019, Söyüncü wasted no time in making an impact in the Premier League. He may have been largely unknown to the general public. But, the Turkish defender garnered the attention of several scouts by 2018, while playing in the Bundesliga, for FC Freiburg.
Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola was, reportedly, also among those taking an interest during the 2018 summer window. But, it was Leicester City who won the player’s signature. Soyuncu was given the tough task of having to fill Harry Maguire’s shoes in the team’s central defense. He did an excellent task, without a doubt! He is now one of the top-performing players in fantasy football. And, he has helped carry Leicester CIty into a title challenge that few would have predicted.
Pervis Estupiñán
A wunderkind in the making, Estupiñán is nonetheless among the sleepers and breakouts of this season of La Liga. The Ecuadorian’s future was already looking bright once he was signed by Watford back in 2016. Loan spells followed, the most recent of which saw the defender join La Liga side Osasuna.
It is here that he flourished, becoming a regular starting player. Fantasy managers love him. Although, in all fairness, few would have been able to predict his rise. At the moment of writing, he has represented the Primera Division side in every one of their matches this season. And, he is now the second-highest scoring fantasy player in La Liga contests, above players like Lionel Messi or Luis Suarez.
William
William de Asevedo Furtado seemingly has everything going for him. He is a talented, a highly-technical player active in the Bundesliga. Yet, the successful season he has enjoyed for VL Wolfsburg has taken plenty by surprise. Only behind Joshua Kimmich in the fantasy football rankings, the right-back has been in superb form in 2019.
Clearly a good addition to any fantasy football sleeper cheat sheet, has been active in all of Wolfsburg’s Bundesliga matches thus far. His interceptions and successful passes have made him one of the most highly-rated players in Bundesliga fantasy football.
