There’s no better time to prepare for the future than right now. The EFL Championship is one of the toughest leagues in the world and it helps forge tremendous talented and powerful figures. Here are 5 Championship players we are very to see in the next season of the Premier League. Which ones will you be choosing for your draft?
1 Ismaila Sarr (Watford)
People have been throwing the words “wonderkid” and “future superstar” at Ismaila Sarr for some time. There is no denying that the Senegalese midfielder possesses immense potential. However, this was never more obvious than throughout this season.
Yes, he still has games where he tends to drift out of focus. However, on a good day, Sarr plays like a top Premier League player. He has scored 12 goals and assisted 4 this campaign. Watford has been among the strongest teams in the EFL Championship, and keeping Ismaila Sarr in their squad when they return to the EPL will be no easy task. Still, for all FootballCoin users, getting to, once again, use him in fantasy football contests is bound to be exciting.
2 Emiliano Buendia (Norwich)
It’s hard to be the best among the many EFL Championship teams, not least because of the fact that 24 teams are competing. Still, this is what Norwich has managed to do. The Canaries are looking to bounce right back in the EPL. They currently sit first in the EFLP Championship league table, with a huge gap between them and second place.
Emiliano Buendia was a very good player the last time around that the team was in the top-tier, and, to his credit he has stuck around. This team he netted 12 goals, provided 15 assists. Buendia would likely make a good addition to just about any squads in the Premier League.
3 Ivan Toney (Brentford)
Brentford is well-known for its great scouting and sensible transfers. The team has been forcing ta promotion push for several years. Now, as ever, they are close to the top. Yet, they will need to manage the end of the season, and the great potential of their players.
Ivan Toney best epitomizes the club’s philosophy. This season he has scored a whopping 29 goals and managed 10 assists. Before that, the 25-year-old had been loaned to numerous clubs where he hadn’t fully proven himself. This is his strongest campaign so far, and we think Toney is ready to take a big step forward.
4 Todd Cantwell (Norwich)
Another player that seems ready for the big stages of European football is Todd Cantwell. The 23-year-old midfielder has been on the radar of scouts for several years now across English football leagues. He has accumulated a fair deal of experience for Norwich, becoming an integral part of their squad this season. We’ve seen glimpses of brilliance, and, perhaps, going against Premier League veterans is just what the player needs to progress his game.
5 Dominic Solanke (Bournemouth)
Dominic Solanke has also courted mainstream attention for a while now. The 23-year-old striker launched his career at Chelsea. He then spent some time on loan with Vitesse, before being snapped up by Liverpool. Competition at Anfield proved difficult for the youngster, but he has been making the Bournemouth starting spot his own this season.
He has scored a respectable 13 goals. However, beyond that, it is clear that Solanke is finally getting the confidence he has needed in order to truly succeed. Should the Cherries fail to win promotion, we think many EPL teams could benefit from his services.
