The Championship isn’t just known as the best second-tier football competition in the world. It is also one of the very toughest competitions in the world. This, naturally, creates a lot of surprises in terms of real results and fantasy football stats.

Here’s what went down in Round 10 and who the top performers and biggest disappointments in Championship fantasy football were.

Sheffield United Comes Crashing Down to Earth

Things had gone a little too well for Sheffield United this season. I’d recently praised the excellent performances of their defensive players and the inventiveness of their attackers.

Leeds United, however, is not a team to be impressed by this kind of hype. The promotion hopefuls took apart their rivals with goals from Pascal Strujik and Mateo Joseph in a 2-0 story.

Poor performances from keeper Michael Cooper and defender Harry Souttar mean that you’ll need to think twice about picking them for your fantasy football team in the future.

Lang and Grant Get the Goals and the Fantasy Football Points

The league’s biggest names were all but absent from the list of players scoring the highest number of points.

Karlan Grant was the week’s best attacker in FootballCoin, managing 28 points. Grant scored the goal that delivered West Bromwich a draw against Oxford. But it was his involvement in his team’s attack that really helped him rack up the points.

Meanwhile, Callum Lang helped Portsmouth to an important victory against QPR, 2-1 away. Lang scored one and assisted the other in a great 81-minute performance.

Keep Kaminski on Your List

While Luton Town has looked strangely unremarkable this season, things may well be turning around. The team, who, until recently, was rubbing shoulders with the EPL crowd, got an important 3-0 victory against Watford.

Not only did goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski manage to keep a clean sheet, but the Belgian goalie managed the rarity of providing an assist as well. With Watford trailing desperately, Kaminski took advantage of the space opening up before him and lobbed the ball for Jacob Brown, who scored the last goal of the night in extra time. Hold Kaminski on hold for your next fantasy football selection.
