Spanish media reports that manager Zinedine Zidane has made the decision to sell Isco. Here are the teams looking to take advantage of Real’s desire to sell.
Spanish sports magazine AS has reported today on Isco’s status as a Real Madrid player. They claim credible sources have informed them that manager Zinedine Zidane has decided to sell the midfielder. The news comes following a disappointing season that has seen Real struggle in La Liga, and Isco struggle to break into Real’s starting line-up.
The French manager seems to have completely shifted his opinion since last season. With many talented players to choose from, Zidane had to opt between either James Rodriguez or Isco. Zidane chose the latter and the Colombian was off-loaded to Bayern Munich. The manager know seems to be regretting his decision, with James becoming a pivotal part of the German champions’ squad.
With Isco’s transfer seemingly imminent here are the teams who the media is speculating are the player’s top suitors.
- Liverpool
Jurgen Klopp is said to be interested in signing Isco as a possible replacement for Philippe Coutinho. Jurgen Klopp had contacted the Madrid team in a bid to take advantage of Isco’s refusal to sign a new contract. Liverpool would certainly have the money to spare for the midfielder, but the question remains, can he adapt to Jurgen Klopp’s playing style?
- Manchester City
Another team that showed interest in Isco at the end of last season. Isco is reportedly a favorite of manager Pep Guardiola, but the 25-year-old could face a hard time breaking into a team chock-full of talented midfielders.
- Manchester United
Ever a rival in the transfer market for their Manchester rivals, United are reportedly already discussing financial details with Real Madrid. Jose Mourinho is anxious to bolster his squad and with a seemingly unending check book, he could consider Isco as a replacement for one of United’s less prolific attacking midfielders.
Regardless of his possible transfer, the player is without a doubt one of the most talented European midfielders active today. The 25-year-old will be depended on greatly when Spain attempt to recapture the World Cup trophy this summer.
Isco remains a hot topic in FootballCoin. It has been perhaps a struggle to choose free player cards from Spain’s elite teams. For those interested, user listings for the player exist, starting at 3,350 XFC. Of course, Isco’s transfer is not to change his ownership status or the option to use him.
